What is your most memorable Junto moment?

Getting to know all the people in my Forum - hearing their life stories and getting to know who those people really are.

What are you working on right now?

Time management. It’s always something I can’t get my arms around.

What are 1-2 leadership virtues you've observed or learned in your career?

My boss, Deborah Jackson, has taught me a lot about caring and compassion. This is the first job I’ve worked at that my boss cared about me as an individual.

What is your strength when it comes to emotional intelligence?

Vulnerability and empathy. I’ve learned that being vulnerable and empathetic can open doors and connect you to people.

What is your superpower?

I have a caring heart; I truly care about what someone is going through.

 

 

What is one book, blog, or podcast you recommend widely?

Own the Moment by Carl Lentz. It’s spiritual, it’s about taking advantage of the things that are available to you everyday where you may not see it.

What is something that's not on your LinkedIn profile that you wish was?

I love storytelling: listening to stories, writing stories, telling stories.

What have you learned about yourself through participating in Junto?

After going through Junto I realized I have a lot more tools and know that I can be a leader. I had thought that leaders are powerful and bold, but it’s not just that.
