Yesterday was JuntoIII kick-off day, which included a program orientation for the apprentices, a town hall conversation with JuntoAlumni, and our Opening Night reception, a Mardi Gras-themed event at Catapult Chicago that drew 100 members of the JuntoTribe.
During the next nine months, the founders and leaders of the companies - JuntoApprentices - will participate in an intensive program through which they will learn from the wisdom of people who have "been there, done that". The program includes four key components:
Leadership Forums: A peer-to-peer experience that focuses on improving leadership and emotional intelligence behaviors.
Monthly Classes: Twelve classes on leadership and management topics that combine practical learning as a team, with immediate implementation and accountability.
Professional Tutoring: One-on-one sessions with seasoned experts in human resources, branding/marketing, legal issues, and financial management.;
Structured Mentoring: Learning from the experiences of seasoned entrepreneurs and executives, in the areas of company operations, team management, and leadership.
We're grateful to the dozens of seasoned entrepreneurs, CEOs, and executives who will serve as JuntoIII mentors and instructors, as well as partners who host the program and conduct the tutoring. Their collective wisdom, generosity, and humanity are what help make the Junto program compelling and impactful.
Our first class of five companies, JuntoI, graduated in 2013: Briteseed, Eclipse Telecom, Music Dealers, Tiesta Tea, and Weave the People. Our second class, JuntoII, graduated in December 2014: Forte, GetMaineLobster, Solid Interactive, Spikeball Inc., and ThreadMeUp.
