"The only thing that’s ever been constant in my life is change."

What is something that's not on your LinkedIn profile that you wish was?

Something more personal, like a good headline letting people know what my values and purpose are.

What are 1-2 leadership virtues you've observed or learned in your career?

I’ve learned temperance. It’s a virtue that involves controlling your emotions. After that, resilience and humility, especially in the case of making mistakes.

What have you learned about yourself participating in Junto?

Definitely an increased level of self-awareness. I’ve done a lot of reflecting since the program, and a lot of thinking.

What is your strength when it comes to emotional intelligence?

To truly listen to what others have to say without wanting to overtake the conversation. I’m patient, have empathy, and pause to let someone else speak.

What is one book, blog, or podcast you recommend widely?

Hands down, Traction, by Geno Wickman. When I read it, it was dead-on with what we’d been going through as a company.

What is your most memorable Junto moment?

The first day. I didn’t know what to expect on the first day presenting our lifelines. I had a chance to reflect back on my life with a group I didn’t know before. It was hard for me to do, and it was the first time I showed so much vulnerability. It really brought me closer to my team and closer to the Junto community.

The only thing that’s ever been constant in my life is change.

What are you working on right now?

We’re in the process of reinventing ourselves as a company. We continue to work on narrowing our wide bandwidth and increasing our focus on our strengths: product fulfillment and impulse merchandising.

What is your superpower?

Being patient when other people would be at their wit’s end. I don’t buckle under pressure or lose my cool, and I like to diffuse heated situations, especially if I’m involved.

How would you describe your areas of expertise based on industry, market, and/or function?

Warehouse and account operations.
