What is your strength when it comes to emotional intelligence?

I think I bring a sense of positivity and authenticity to meeting new people and working with people. I truly try to be present and show curiosity, a genuine interest about others.

What are 1-2 leadership virtues you've observed or learned in your career?  

One that I’ve learned is patience, in how you react to the micro, day-to-day issues, and in how you allow your business the time and space to grow. Another virtue that I’m starting to talk a lot more about is having a bias towards action.

How would you describe your areas of expertise based on industry, market, and/or function?

As a company, our industry is logistics. My function is around details of customer experience and tying together the functions of a logistics company.

What was your most memorable Junto moment?

Graduation night. I was speaking up on stage and saw my business partner, John, in the audience. He was surrounded by his family, his wife and kids, and parents. I always roll solo, but the memory of seeing them in the crowd and openly expressing everything in front of those people that love him and the Junto community was really memorable.

What is your superpower?

Hospitality, an unconditional sense of hospitality that if I have something to give, I want to give it.

What's something that's not on your LinkedIn profile that you wish was?

I wish I was in the foreign service for the US State Department.

What have you learned about yourself through participating in Junto?

That I don’t know much about myself and I have a lot to learn, especially in the context of business. I still have a lot to learn regarding how to be more aware, create boundaries, and interact in group settings.
