"I’m a “whatever it takes to get it done” type of person. I’ll run through walls or work until midnight."

How would you describe your areas of expertise based on industry, market, and/or function?

My core competency is finance. I’ve worked with hedge funds and private equity firms. In five years [with ReviewTrackers], I’ve also broadened my expertise by taking on HR to sales to general operations.

What is your superpower?

Persistence and resilience. I’m a “whatever it takes to get it done” type of person. I’ll run through walls or work until midnight. I’ve always had a high threshold for pain in that regard.

What are 1-2 leadership virtues you've observed or learned in your career?

Integrity and loyalty are number one for me. They go a long way. You’ve heard the phrase - trust takes years to build and seconds to destroy. In the long run, if you operate on those principles you will set yourself up for success down the road.

Finish the following sentence: "In my experience, ______________."

Hard work and details matter. Building a company is exponentially harder than you’d think going into it, and putting that effort in and paying attention to small details do matter.

What is your most memorable Junto moment?

For me, the most memorable moment was when our CEO, Chris, pointed out how much I’d grown or changed. He’d say “I don’t think you would have approached it this way six months ago,” and would highlight different things that were directly correlated to something from Junto.

What is your strength when it comes to emotional intelligence?

I struggle to say what my personal strength is in that regard. Easier to point out where I struggle. I think I can read people pretty well.

What is one book, blog, or podcast you recommend widely?

How to Win Friends and Influence People. The ideas in the book seem like common sense but to live them day-to-day is difficult. A blog specific to SaaS companies is saastr.

What have you learned about yourself through participating in Junto?

That I have a lot of growth opportunities. There are a lot of areas where I have strengths, but ones that I haven’t given much attention to, and Junto shined a light on those. One of the most important things Junto taught me was to use clarifying questions to be constantly trying to better understand where someone else is coming from and limit my own assumptions.

What are you working on right now?

Financial preparations and due diligence. We try to stay one step ahead, so we’re going through a financial review with a third party right now. That way, when it comes time to go through an audit, we’re ahead of the game and prepared for it.

What is something that's not on your LinkedIn profile that you wish was?

My speaking engagements and links to more ReviewTrackers things.
