What is your strength when it comes to emotional intelligence?

I can sense conflict in somebody when they’re out of touch with their self-integrity, and help them bring it out.

What is something that's not on your LinkedIn profile that you wish was?

I’d love to be able to put some kind of recognition, like 40 under 40, or acknowledgement of an accomplishment.

What are 1-2 leadership virtues you've observed or learned in your career?

Being clear, consistent, and unapologetic about your values, and using them as a framework for decision-making.

What is your most memorable Junto moment?

The opening two-day session. I knew I was going to be meeting all these people for the first time so I flew out for that, to help set me on the right course in building a connection with them.

How would you describe your areas of expertise based on industry, market, and/or function?

My strongest areas of expertise are in organizing and building teams.

What have you learned about yourself participating in Junto?

You think you get a return on investment in emotional intelligence and leading people when you’re in Junto, but I didn’t fully use everything I’d learned until after the program. I would say it’s the start of your education and you have to keep reinventing yourself.

What are you working on right now?

We’ve been focused on Chicago for a long time, but we’re ramping up our outreach strategy and activities for Portland.

What is your superpower?

Being able to see things that aren’t “there.”
